A participatory research initiative

From shared problems
to shared knowledge.

A proposed global platform where researchers jointly define problems, build equitable partnerships, and develop research that matters across borders.

THE COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH JOURNEY

01 · Start with a questionA shared challenge or knowledge gap
↓
02 · Build and negotiate a teamExpertise, roles, authorship, data and benefits
↓
03 · Develop and share researchJoint proposals, milestones and outcomes
Our distinction

More than finding a collaborator.

GRCP is being designed around how meaningful research partnerships are formed, negotiated, and developed—not just how researchers discover one another.

◇

Problem first

Begin with a shared question, local challenge or unresolved research problem. Refine it collaboratively before locking in a project.

↔

Negotiated participation

Make responsibilities, decision-making, authorship, data stewardship and intended benefits explicit.

◎

Equitable impact

Value different institutional and local expertise. Institutional ranking position never determines a participant’s influence.

Illustrative research cases

Explore how collaboration could begin.

The three concepts below are demonstrations connected to Sacramento Collaborative's research pillars. They are not funded projects or confirmed international partnerships.

Interactive collaboration lab

Experience the research development process.

Select a stage to see the questions and decisions a future GRCP team would work through.

Demonstration only: all team arrangements and records shown here are fictional examples. This prototype does not match or contact real researchers.

    WCU 2027 institutional foundation

Find your university in our global directory.

GRCP's proposed founding academic membership is limited to researchers with verified affiliations at universities represented in Sacramento Collaborative's WCU 2027 database. Community contributors may be involved in appropriate collaborative projects.

Select your country or territory, then choose a university. These menus are populated directly from our WCU 2027 master data.

Select a country or territory to see its WCU-listed universities.
Important: Appearing in WCU 2027 indicates inclusion in the ranking dataset, not institutional endorsement. Selecting a university does not verify a visitor's affiliation. Registration and verification are future features.
    Hands-on demonstration

    Draft a collaborative research idea.

Experiment with the beginning of a project proposal. The form stays in your browser session and exports as a JSON file; no data is submitted to Sacramento Collaborative.

    From concept to pilot

    What development support would enable.

This version demonstrates the proposed process, not a completed network. Our next milestone is a secure, moderated pilot with real academic participants.
